The conference will concentrate on the general registration and authorisation of biocidal products as well as the challenges surrounding in situ active substances and treated articles with key focus on the practicalities of supporting these types of biocides.

This year has seen an expansion in the range of active substances included in the EU review programme for biocides, with applications submitted for in situ generated substances and for substances that have come into the review programme as a result of their  incorporation into treated articles. The evaluation of these substance types brings new challenges - especially in the area of efficacy and in the definition of the biocidal product. Further expansion of the review is expected during 2017 with the inclusion of re-defined substances captured under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) No 1062/2014 for which dossiers have yet to be submitted.

The conference will attract speakers with a broad range of BPR expertise and will importantly provide ample opportunity for networking with key individuals who have direct experience of navigating through the regulations with in situ actives and treated articles.
